GitLab is certainly today one of the most popular version controller available, high-performance and offers for private projects, an unlimited amount of repository.

The steps to start using this tool are simple.

1. Register a new account

GitLab registration

The first thing to do is visit the official website, then go to register at the top left.

The signin, plans to enter the data as a new user, or log on using an exisitng account. Right now GitLab support email accounts, Google, Twitter, GitHub, Bitbucket. In case you want to log in using one of these accounts, click on the desired service and enter your credentials.

2. Confirm your credential

After entered your data, you need to confirm your address email.
Login to your mailbox and check if you got a message like the following.

Click on Confirm your account.
At this point the registration is completed and you can access the service with the credentials you just created.

3. Start to deposit new projects

The main menu gives us the ability to create new working groups which manage different projects, create a new project, or visit the projects published by other users.
Now on it is possible to start deposit your favorite projects.
